Why Reesac

Reesac is my personal label, created as a platform to share my musical journey with the world. It's a place where I can fully express my creative vision, with complete control over every aspect. Reesac will be the exclusive home for all of my releases as Caseer.
My goal with Reesac is to craft a cohesive narrative through the music - each release a chapter in an evolving story. I pour my heart into every production, and Reesac allows me to present the music exactly as I intend, without compromise. I hope listeners will connect with the raw emotions and get lost in the atmospheric soundscapes.
Reesac represents a new chapter for me. After many years and projects in the electronic music scene, it's time to consolidate my artistic identity under one banner. Join me on this exciting journey as we explore uncharted sonic territories together.

Who I am

I'm Raphael Cesario, but you may know me as Caseer. Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember. The journey began in 2006 when I started tinkering with Reason, guided by a musician friend. Those early experiments led to my first track, "Siperxtecent", which made some waves in the blogosphere.
Continuing to refine my sound, I ventured into minimal and progressive territories around 2010 under the UNL moniker. Releases on labels like Code2, Manakacha, and Tongut followed. But everything changed when I met Damien Roussel. Together, we formed The Mekanism.
Our 2012 EP "Can't Believe" on NeedWant and remix of Mario Basanov's "We Are Child Of Love" put us on the map. The Mekanism topped Beatport's deep house charts, and soon we were playing gigs across Europe - Moscow, Basel, Brussels, Paris, and even Space Terrace in Ibiza. It was a whirlwind.
Eventually, Damien and I amicably parted ways. He continued The Mekanism while I launched Caseer. Around this time, I fulfilled a childhood dream by starting a vinyl-only label, Unlearn, with my friend Aurèle. We released records by talents like Chris Mitchell, XDB, Kasper Marott, and more. Aurèle and I even had the honor of remixing Detroit legend Walt J as Kondo Mane.
The story continued with Into Laniakea, another label I founded to showcase artists like passEnger, Voiture, Transonic Flow, and Diffuse Arc. I also appeared on Villette 45 with Manager also known as Saint-James.
Then, life intervened. I took a break to focus on the most important project of all - starting a family. But the music never left me. Now, I'm back in the studio, ready to write the next chapter with Reesac.
Reesac is the culmination of everything that came before. A chance to create freely, share my truth, and connect with all of you. Thank you for being part of this journey. The best is yet to come.

Love,
Caseer
